City roasts is the name applied to the Medium roast segment, which refers to the moderate roasting level of coffee beans, right after the first crack.

Specialty coffee roasters use City roast to explore and highlight the characteristic flavors of each type of coffee, creating unique experiences for the connoisseur.

Specialty coffee roasters can customize City Roast to suit each coffee type, fine-tuning temperature and roasting time to optimize flavor. This roast level is particularly well-suited for coffees with fruity, floral, or complex notes. However, precision and skill are crucial, if the roasting process is not done properly, unwanted flavors such as grass, lemon or sour may appear.
