Kona
Kona is an exceptionally rare Arabica coffee variety grown in the Kona region on the island of Hawaii, United States.
This coffee thrives on the slopes of Big Island’s volcanic terrain, at elevations ranging from 600 to 3,000 feet (180 to 900 meters). The combination of rich volcanic soil, a mild and humid climate, and ample sunlight creates ideal conditions for cultivating high-quality coffee. With a production volume accounting for just about 1% of the world’s total coffee supply, this coffee is considered one of the most valuable specialty coffees.
Kona coffee is known for its smooth, refined, yet complex flavor profile. Depending on processing methods and roast levels, it can exhibit delicate notes of milk chocolate, caramel, and brown sugar, along with subtle hints of fruit.
