Mocha/Mokka
Mocha (also known as Mokka) is one of the distinguished Arabica coffee varieties, originating from the port city of Mocha in Yemen – a legendary coffee trading hub during the 15th to 17th centuries.
Mocha’s flavor is a refined interplay of bright fruit acidity, deep chocolate sweetness, and a long, captivating finish. With its unique flavor potential and rich historical narrative, Mocha has long been regarded as a symbol of craftsmanship, tradition, and authenticity in the world of Specialty Coffee.
Yemen is the birthplace of heirloom Mocha coffee, where the trees grow naturally on rugged mountain slopes at elevations ranging from 1.500 to 2.200 meters above sea level, in arid yet cool climatic conditions.
