San Bernardo
San Bernardo, also known as Pache, is an Arabica variety that was first identified in 1949 at El Brito farm in Guatemala.
Coffees from this variety are known for their gentle sweetness, balanced acidity, and lingering finish, often featuring tasting notes of hazelnut, caramel, and mild fruits. Though not as widespread as some other cultivars, Pache holds a notable position in the Specialty coffee sector due to its distinctive flavor and consistent bean quality.
It has been selectively propagated across Guatemala and adopted in other Central American countries such as El Salvador and Honduras, where it is appreciated for its vigorous growth and reliable cup performance.
