Triangulo Gesha
Triangulo Gesha was planted by Fincas Mierisch in 2018 at Santa Lucia Farm in Comayagua, Honduras, at an elevation of 1,550 meters above sea level.
Triangulo Gesha comes from the same seed stock as the Casona lot, yet it is planted only 200 meters away under denser shade cover, creating a unique microclimate that allows it to tell a different story in the cup: jasmine, lychee, rosebud, and vibrant citrus acidity. To help the delicate Gesha trees thrive in the humid conditions of Comayagua, Mierisch increased shade density by around 10% compared with the Casona lot, slowing light absorption, extending cherry maturation, and allowing higher sugar development in the beans.
In the international specialty coffee world, Triangulo is seen as a living terroir experiment, proving that even with the same variety and identical seed source, small differences in location and farming techniques can create two completely distinct sensory personalities.
