Traditional Vietnamese architecture – where ‘heritage’ meets ‘specialty’
Nestled in a house reflecting traditional Vietnamese style, XLIII Coffee’s fourth branch in Thao Dien offers a completely different visual experience compared to its three predecessors. The space is adorned with distinctive architectural elements including elegant long benches, intricate wooden chairs, and majestic dragon-head seats, all harmoniously combined with XLIII Coffee’s characteristic refined wooden interior style. The two floors are designed with absolute respect for the original structure, where specialty coffee blends perfectly into a heritage architectural setting.
Upon entering through the characteristic wooden arched gate, customers are welcomed by a charming courtyard – a typical feature of traditional Vietnamese architecture, where natural light filters through the eaves and lush greenery. Pure white walls and classic geometric patterned tile floors create a peaceful nostalgic scene amid urban life.
The first floor’s highlight is a counter with warm yellow tones standing out against the black-and-white diamond-shaped ceramic tiles. The spiral staircase with glossy black handrails and delicate white banisters is not just a passage to the second floor but a living sculpture gracefully winding through the space.
The second floor serves as a quiet workspace with full amenities, abundant natural light, and views of the courtyard. With modest yet intelligently arranged space, this area can accommodate up to 15 customers simultaneously, creating rare privacy and tranquility in the heart of the city.
The combination of heritage architectural elements with modern furnishings creates a space both nostalgic and contemporary. The main color palette is carefully selected from subtle shades: pure white harmonizes with elegant gray, accented by warm cream and sophisticated golden brown. All connected harmoniously by natural wooden lines, creating an atmosphere both luxurious and approachable – where Vietnamese architectural heritage and specialty coffee culture together write the story of modernity within classicism.
Using modern technology with certified advanced equipment
The equipment system at XLIII Coffee exists at the intersection of art and technology, selected and fine-tuned to serve our mission of fully exploring each specialty coffee bean’s potential.
The heart of the space is the Strada MP, a technological masterpiece with a minimalist yet powerful design where art perfectly blends with advanced shot extraction & milk-based coffee technology, opening endless possibilities in discovering and honoring the original flavors of each specialty coffee bean.

To achieve perfection in every cup, we’ve equipped ourselves with the supreme grinding duo of Mahlkönig E80 Supreme and Ditting 807 Lab Sweet. Not only ensuring absolute consistency in grinding, these “technological artisans” precisely control temperature, fully preserving the aroma and characteristics of each coffee bean.
The brewing process at XLIII Coffee begins with pure water created by a specialized 30l/h RO water filtration system, combined with a Geyser Ecotar 9 Utrar RO Home alkaline ion filter. Each drop of water is controlled and refined to become the perfect companion in releasing coffee flavors.
Completing our world-class equipment lineup are indispensable companions: Kinto – ALFRESCO brewer and Fellow Stagg EKG Electric Kettle – masters in controlling temperature and flow, ensuring each drop of coffee is extracted perfectly.
