Single Shot
Single Shot is an Espresso extraction made from 7–9 grams of specialty coffee grounds, yielding approximately 30–40ml of coffee in 25–30 seconds. This extraction process highlights the delicate characteristics of specialty coffee, from bright acidity to a sweet, lingering aftertaste.
With a standard pressure of 9 bars and a water temperature ranging from 90–96°C, the ideal extraction ratio for a Single Shot falls between 1:2 and 1:2.5, ensuring optimal coffee quality without being too diluted or overly intense.
Compared to a Double Shot, a Single Shot uses less coffee but retains the refined nuances and distinctive qualities of specialty coffee. It is the perfect choice for experiencing the pure and complex flavors of each coffee bean.
